Travelling and Tourism: Is Travelling Really Your Hobby or You Just Want To Sound Cool?

If you ask ten people what their hobbies are eight out of ten of them would say they love travelling and five out of those eight people haven't left the shores of Nigeria.

Some people even take it up a notch by adding "travelling" to the Hobbies section of their CV and if you make your findings you'd see that most of them don't even have an international passport.

I'm sure as you're reading some of you would be thinking "What is Ebuka even feeling like, when did he travel that we didn't know?" well i'm also laying comfortable on the table above 😞😞😞 It's just that i've been able to go to some places in Nigeria and i was able to do so because of my regular movement from Lagos to Asaba, Lagos to Awka, Lagos to Enugu, Lagos to Port Harcourt by road and i passed by many states along the way that should at least count now 😃😃 and according to this analysis i can say i've been to Bayelsa State, Ondo State,  Benin in Edo State, Warri in Delta State (at least i've been to the mall there and i bought food that definitely counts), so nobody should come for me when i say i've been to a lot of places in Nigeria passing through those states definitely counts 😁😁😁

Lets go back to the bone of contention here, which is about why most of us are claiming we love to travel but haven't really traveled like we want to and it is caused by many reasons such as most of us don't have money to even get an international passport, flight ticket fee is so exorbitant, the planning involves a huge chunk of money which some of us don't have and those that have it don't have it in abundance or the responsibilities on ground won't even let them think of travelling.

Okay lets quickly do a breakdown, getting an international passport in Nigeria is over 60,000naira take for example a nano social media influencer like me and some of my friends with followers ranging from 5,000 to about 50,000 followers  on our social media accounts and we're still hoping and praying for someone to include us on social media campaigns that would give us between 10,000naira to 50,000naira depending on how willing the client is to pay or how large the scope of the campaign is and these campaigns are not a regular thing so with other responsibilities weighing us down, when amala and data has taken most of our monies for vanishing for someone like me and Morakinyo @morakcares or clothes and babes for someone like Ibukun @ibktheplug  or drinks and babes for someone like Uche  @UcheOvu.

Now after all these spending and grooving all around, is it then we'd now start thinking of saying we want to start making plans to travel just because we claim to love travelling mehn e go hard to even reason.

Well if you really love traveling as you claim you can start small from the home front which is our dear country Nigeria.
You'd be amazed at the number of tourist centres we have in different parts of the country.
